Great question. The truth is we launched with a focus on services, so we could better understand the problem we wanted to solve. Understanding the needs of our customers was #1 and we felt the quickest way to do that was to work with them (really work with them), add real value, and learn. All the while, funneling the feedback loop into product development.
After three months, 15+ customers and lots and lots of feedback, the decision has been made to hunker down and focus 100% of our time on the product.
No more service customers (existing ones will be grandfathered in).
We still don’t know. All we can say is that we’re focused on the problem and building solutions that solve it. So far, we’ve built tools to accomplish:
Steve Blank – Customer Development Model
Eric Ries – Lean Startup
1. Secure our next round of financing.
2. Build out our advisory board (recommendations @flowtown)
3. Open up to early alpha users in 6 weeks. (register here)
To say that I’m a little excited would be an understatement. I’m freakin’ pumped… hardly sleeping at night. We’ve got an amazing team and we’re confident we can help the bazillion small businesses out there trying to make sense of their online marketing efforts.
So as Jay-Z says in Best Of Me, “I’m (we’re) Focused, Man!”
