What are People’s Perceptions of Spam?

When most people hear the word “Spam”, negative thoughts begin to flow. It is such a universally-loathed part of online life, yet there are many varying perceptions about Spam–whether it be about what it is, who’s responsible for curbing it, and where it comes from, etc. The below graphic represents  these points, and some of the ways people answered may come as a surprise.  Note: There those surveyed were able to select multiple choices for many of the questions, so some sections of the graphic don’t add up to 100% as individual participants are represented in multiple categories.
